Sarah and Ryan’s New Year’s Eve wedding was pure magic! We started the day on the freezing cold mountain tops of Park City where it was -14 degrees after windchill and I was DEFINITELY not prepared for it to be that cold! Thankfully, their family and friends had all packed extra furs, so I was able to survive it. I was covered in all cheetah print though… and it was amazing.
There was not a dry eye in the house during Ryan’s vows and I love getting photos of my brides tearing up. The love that these two had for each other was tangible and beautiful. Also, they definitely should be awarded the Coldest First Kiss because I don’t know any place that is colder than that Park City mountaintop.
By the end of their ceremony my camera body had completely frosted over from the cold, so I had to manually focus every shot! I loved it though because of the romantic look and feel the off-focusing gave their photos. I have never been as cold as I was during their ceremony, but I would not have had it any other way! I love when my couples make their wedding celebration unique to them and I am so lucky that I get to be a part of these beautiful moments.
PS. If you have a winter wedding, this is the perfect example of how to incorporate fur in an elegant and timeless way! These photos will never go out of style because they steered away from the trends of winter weddings. Also, just sending this out to the Universe: I WOULD LOVE TO SEE SOME OF MY GROOMS IN FUR THIS WINTER!

Once we all regained feeling from the freezing cold, we met at Lake Effect in Salt Lake City for the most delicious and beautiful dinner to celebrate the union of the happy couple. The food that we ate literally almost brought me to tears. If you are a foodie, this is the venue for you! I promise you will not be disappointed.
Ryan and Sarah had their very first date at Lake Effect, so coming back to celebrate their marriage here was the perfect choice. The red velvet settee is the exact spot where they sat on their first date, so of course we had to take photos to recreate that special moment.
After dinner, everyone went to the lounge area to drink to their hearts content before ringing in the new year. Sarah thought of everything and even brought cases of red bull to keep everyone awake and partying until midnight!
Sarah and Ryan wanted to finish the night off by ringing in the New Year at The Monaco Hotel, so that’s exactly what we did.
These are my favorite photos from their wedding because of the happiness and excitement they had to kiss, party, and celebrate their love for each other starting this new year and lasting year after year.
It was such an incredible honor to be apart of Sarah and Ryan’s day in the Park City Mountains and Lake Effect, thank you two so much for having me. Hope you love these images as much as I do. I loved spending the day with you two, can’t wait to see where life takes you.
3, 2, 1… HAPPY NEW YEAR!
