Sarah and Ryan are from Texas originally, but held their wedding celebration in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah, where they live currently. They wanted their wedding day portraits to represent them as a couple and show important locations of their relationship, so we went around the city to places that held defining moments in their time together.

The Little Sahara Desert is the perfect location for stunning editorial style formals. On the drive down it looked like we might need to turn around because of the rain clouds, but when we arrived the weather favored us and the drama that the clouds add to these photos is breathtaking.

During the ceremony, when Greg said his vows to Meg I started to tear up a bit because of the way that he spoke so sweetly to her. You could tell just from his voice and words how much he truly loves her, and it makes me so happy to be able to capture that pure love between my couples!

The outfits and location that these two decided on for their first look and formals is one I will be raving about for months. I love the simplicity that architecture lends to photography, and this barn is a gorgeous example of that. We decided to head into town as well to finish off their session with a little more light. Morgan was raised in Park City, and coming back here for her formals was such a treat.

I didn’t ever need to give them more than a small nudge in the right direction and they would give me enough smiles, poses, and candid laughter to fill ten minutes of shooting.
